Ibra a failed politician & the bitter end to his political career

Some people might know the Ibra or Ibrahim Ismail. But sure majority of the Maldivians don’t know him. The people who him also don’t like his policies & his work. He might be a very vocal man in the Maldivian politics & majlis. But the real point is that those things does not bring any good to anyone of us. Maybe there are some good things he did also. But the answer is very clear. Most of us don’t believe in you & in your words.

I hope Ibra will understand the message from all the Maldivians clearly.

Maldivians have spoken

“WE DON’T NEED YOU”

Now the next question is will he still remain in politics & can he make a recovery?  But again Maldivians have spoken

“WE DON’T NEED YOU”

I had a lot of respect for him and voted for him in the parliamentary election. However his attitude, actions and words made it impossible to believe him anymore...It's rather shocking to know that Umar did better than him!

i supported ibra and his policies. BUT... a lot of people voted for hassan and anni in hopes that one of them may defeat maumoon in one go, and because those people knew that anni and hassan were indeed more popular than ibra. ibra was my second choice.

I don't think Ibra doesn't have support. The fact that he is elected Member of Parliament from the capital Male' proves that. I think potential Ibra voters, even from his own party if the 1382 votes speak for itself, went ahead and voted either for Anni, Hassan or Qasim because there was a prevailing mainstream "perception" at the time that these three had the potential chance of winning against Maumoon.
I think Ibra should carry out the important political work he is still engaged in. I have to agree that are were many things about the Social Liberal Party I liked, such as Ibra's manifesto and its emphasis on very important issues like education, and the fact that he was brave enough to choose a woman as a running candidate.
As for me, I voted for Anni as well, as I said I would on my blog, for the same reason because I THOUGHT Anni had a better chance of unseating Maumoon, which I guess is the main issue lurking at the corner of most Maldivians' minds after a stagnant 30-year rule.
(This is my same response to a post on SubDreams blog)

So supposing if Ibra was in the second round, can he unite the opposition better than Anni can do right now?
